Poke is a big part of the Hawaiian way of life. You can easily find this chunk, raw-fish salad on all of the Hawaiian islands. The seafood used in poke is caught fresh daily.
Manapua is a delicious pork-filled bun. It has a delicious sweet pork filling hidden inside a steamed bun. It comes in many flavours like traditional Char Siu, Kalua Pork, Curry Chicken, and Vegetarian. Don't forget to try the sweet flavors...Black Sugar, Coconut, or Okinawan Sweet Potato.
These sugary, sweet treat, no-hole doughnuts can be found through out the island eateries. The traditional Malasada is a yeast dough deep-fried then rolled in sugar. They are served warm with a fluffy interior and a crisp outside. You can even get them filled with cream or fruit.
This delicious, sweet Hawaiian treat is their spin on a snow cone. The light, shaved ice flakes absorb flavouring better than crushed ice. You can choose island fruits flavours like lilikoi, pineapple, and guava.

A Hawaiian dessert known to many as “Hawaiian coconut pudding,” Haupia is a creamy and refreshing dessert is made from coconut milk, cornstarch, sugar and water with vanilla. This delicious dessert is often served at luaus.
Loco Moco is a Hawaiian classic. This Hawaiian comfort food is found on menus across the islands. A typical Loco Moco is a fresh hamburger patty, topped with fried eggs with rich, brown gravy, on a bed of white rice.
Poi is specific to Hawaii and is not found anywhere else in the world. This makes the dish important to the islands’ people and the preservation of their culture. Poi is made from the taro plant giving it that beautiful purple colour.
Kalua is a traditional type of cooking in Hawaiian culture. The pork is cooked in an underground oven called an imu. The pork is seasoned only with Hawaiian sea salt, and placed inside the large underground pit. The flavor comes from the hardwood smoke, and the ti leaves used to wrap the meat.
